Ancient or To'Days
Importance of the time factor.
The difference is alien to the generally accepted notion that
the ration knots per square centimetre (knots/cm2) is the
determining quality criterium of a rug...

| Preparation
of the wool fibres |
|
Detergent
cleaning products remove natural wool grease and lanolin |
|
Wool
is shorn from living lambs or sheep. The best quality
wool is selected, the wool fibres preparation is hand
made and preserves wool grease and lanolin, natural protectors
of the woollen fibre |
|
| Dies
|
|
The
dies are chemical (anylin) they contrast brutally, have
a "hard" metallic sheen. Natural weathering is here moast
improbable. Attemps at chemical "weatherings" offer variable,
insecure results liable to deteriorate Wool fibres
|
|
Their
origins are either vegetables, animal or mineral. Characterised
by an exceptionnal sogt brightness, the natural dyes are
enhanced by (benefit from) natural time weathering and
protect the wool fibre. |
